The 4th China International Gold Jewelry & Gem Fair was held in Convention & Exhibition Center from March 1 to 4, fair of this kind held in Shenzhen for the first time.
It is learnt that there will be 400 companies from 18 countries and regions to participate in the fair and overseas buyers from 61 countries and regions will be attracted here, over 700 people in total. The exhibition area covers over 25 thousand square meters, 50% more than that in 2005.
Head of the fair said that the first international gold jewelry & gem fair would be held in Shenzhen, because Shenzhen was the major manufacture center of jewelry & gem for domestic and overseas market. There are over 1000 jewelry & gem manufacturers and 110 thousand staff in Shenzhen. In the end of 2005, 9 jewelry & gem brands in Shenzhen were entitled "China Top Brand" in the end of 2005.
